Energy efficiency

ST works to contribute to an energy-efficient world. Technological innovations have allowed us to make significant progress in reducing the energy consumption of our products as well as in the end products made by our customers.

Improving lives

ST participates in developing products that improve lives, through innovative approaches, new technologies and collaborative projects. Select examples of domains where we have contributed include:

• Health: insulin pumps, avian flu detection, cancer research
• Safety: Intelligent Transportation System to improve road safety and traffic
• Environment: water distribution systems and lower emissions for automobiles

Product and process quality

For ST, product responsibility also includes product and process quality, which is one of the most fundamental responsibilities we have to our customers. ST as a company, including all sites and organizations, is fully certified to the ISO/TS 16949 standard for quality management, covering all ST processes and management systems.

Material declaration

We proactively comply with environmental regulations and customer requests to manage the material content of our products. ST supports this precautionary approach to avoid health or environmental problems due to uncontrolled use of chemicals. Our declarations are based on the IPC1752 standard.
